I thought Fi-doms were the most emotionally intelligent and they were not so influenced by the ambient they are inserted. They might be the most likely to be depressed, but are they the ones who have more difficult overcoming depression? I would say the causes of their depression are usually more internal than external. Maybe I'm talking bullshit, but I had this thoughts once.Several research studies that have been carried out relating MBTI to mood have consistently found Fi-dominants to be most likely to be depressed: "Unipolar Depressed patients were significantly more often Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Perceiving single-factor types respectively, and Introverted-Sensing-Feeling-Perceiving, and Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Perceiving four-factor types" (Janowsky et al, Oct 2002); "[M]ood-disordered alcohol/substance-use disorder patients were significantly more often Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Perceiving and significantly less often Extroverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging single-factor types.

. They were also significantly more often Introverted/Sensing/ Feeling/Perceiving and Introverted/Intuitive/Feeling/Perceiving four-factor types" (Liyi et al, 1999); "[S]uicidal affective disorder patients were significantly more Introverted and Perceiving" (Janowsky et al, Jan 2002); The abstracts for these studies (and more) can be found at
