ESTP 8w7 Sx/SoI'm almost certain the Chuck Palahniuk is an ENTP, and David Fincher is an INTJ. I don't see the narrator as an INFJ either. Tyler is probably the portrayal infj's alter ego, considering the narrator, the author, and the director are also INFJs.

He seems pretty intuitive, i mean he would probably test as an N if he ever took a test

Agreed :P Half of the story is Tyler Durden imposing his own philosophy.

MBTI type of Tyler Durden

. His manipulating the guy, not to get him to do what he wants him to do, but to get him to change his philosophy and free the guy from the burden of his being. An ESTP wouldn't be so deep about it, he would do things just for the f of it.

Find out about Tyler Durden personality type

. Given that what Tyler is all about is not giving an f about anything, it may seem like he would be a main SE user, but if you pay close attention, his all philosophy. The action is nothing but a way to prove his point.Information about Myers Briggs Type Indicator of Tyler Durden. All the ESTP's I've ever met, whether radical or whatever, have been really poor at developing any kind of a greater philosophy let alone have confidence in it. It's more like they muscle and manipulate you to get you to do the things they need from you in the moment.Which of the 16 personality types is Tyler Durden?. They don't have philosophy outside of their own needs. And as such, their philosophy changes from day to day. They tell you the things you need to hear, not things with a greater purpose for all man kind :P The moment an ESTP tries to have a greater philosophy they start coming ass as lame idiots IMHO. They just don't talk like that :P I mean could you imagine an ESTP go to the lenght Tyler goes in fightclub just because he had a philosophy about life? To arrange a god damn guerrilla army within the modern society to destroy it's foundations? All that because he believed in something? Come on guys, no ESTP in the history of man kind would do that. They don't plan and if they do they sure as hell won't base that plan on a god damn philosophy :P All I'm sayin'.

@imperator sure and all N users are all enlightened beings able to think and see all philosophy.

For sures :P

+imperator Technically he's not a real person, but *spoiler?* a shadow persona from the main character, Jack, who's an INFJ. So it would make sense why he comes off as intuitive. Btw, kudos to your analysis. I enjoy reading it.

@imperator There I found it, you're a fucking idiot

Yea well you seem liek a feasible guy yourself :P

@mono thanks :) I agree totally on the idea that Durden is Jack's shadow persona and it that sense, if Jack was an INFJ he's shadow persona would be an ESTP, however I personally believe that Jack is an ISFJ with an ENTP shadow coming in..
