To really type Killmonger, it is important to understand that every action he takes comes from a place of anger. He is the paradoxical creation of both colonialism and isolationism.  He was abandoned by Wakanda, forced to live in a hostile environment and denied the home promised by birthright. And it’s interesting, despite being motivated mostly by spite and vengeance, Killmonger has the insight and keen sensibilities  to intuitively recognize the failings of Wakanda’s isolationist practicses - and subsequently push T’Challa in the right direction. In many ways, he is correct. And that’s why it is so easy to sympathize with him. Even as an outsider he sees how toxic Wakanda’s isolationism really is.

But the thing is, Killmonger doesn’t really care about Wakanda. Or the suffering of the African people outside of Wakanda’s walls. He cares about restitution -- and he’s willing to attain it the only way he knows how...through conquest. Through colonialism. To this end, Killmonger only cares about making the world hurt as he had hurt; to make people to suffer as he had suffered. So, Killmonger lashes out at a world who whisked him away from his home and then denied him the right to return there. He spends his entire life learning the ropes of colonialist practices so he could stab the world with the same blade that wounded him. And it’s this combination of shrewd forethought and righteous anger that makes Killmonger both sympathetic and dangerous as a villain.

But...he isn’t a Feeler. He doesn’t care about the “values” he pays lip-service to or anything of the sort. He has his anger, and his anger only. And thus, becomes  an instrument of the very institution that created him - colonialism.  He doesn’t care about people; as evidenced by how he treats his allies. He doesn’t care about Wakanda; he abuses their customs, mocks their religion,  and ruthlessly exploits every facet of their society and culture. Really, he only cares about himself, and about making the world hurt the way he was hurt.

He’s...methodical. Forward thinking. Brutal and angry. “The Sun WIll Never Set on the Wakandan Empire”. ENTJ 8w7 is my best guess for Killmonger.

Why not ENFP 8w7? He’s a strong Fi user but comes across like a xNFP villain, charming, manipulative, all his actions are based on his own view of the world in a means to an end sort of way. Anarchy is such an NF trait which he used to spread in foreign governments but idk

      I thought ENTJ as well.

Excellent analysis as usual Hearts. Te-dom 8w7 is a definite. He’s in a Te-Se loop too, I think, as he’s pretty blunt and impulsive which is where the ESFP theories come from. The ESFP 8 typing does have some merit, but not if you take into account his entire essence and character

      ENTJ 8w7

Yeah this typing is insane. Erik is probably an ENTJ . And an 8 for sure.

After watching the movie 5 times, I think he's actually more ENFP. Every decision he makes is based on pure emotion and rage. His mind is warped but he's a bit of an idealist. His one mission in life was to right the wrongs done to him and his father. Where is the T in him? T'Challa is ENTJ. You can see the difference in how they rule. T'Challa is stoic and composed, Erik picks the golden armor because he wants to show off his newfound power. Even his comments during the final fight "a kid from Oakland believing in fairy tales." I just can't see the T in him at all.

He's acting on his trauma and inferior Fi. That's why he comes off as emotional as he does. He's clearly quite far-sighted and strategic given how he killed Klause to gain the favor of the Wakandans because he knew they've been trying to kill him for decades. He's been training his entire life for the single purpose of destroying Wakanda. It's very Ni driven but I think it serves his Te. He's more ambitious than idealistic. ENTJ.

I don't really Ne and Si in him (especially Ne). Motivation from a past trauma can happen to any type - it's not exclusive to Si users.

T'Challa I believe is an ISTJ. He's introverted and bad at foreign diplomacy due to his tert-Fi and alwasy considers whether actions taken on behalf of foreign countries is going to break the tradition of Wakanda. "It is not the Wakandan way" he usually says something that.

But he's like Castro and Che Guevara. The enneagram 8 makes him ambitious

He's less of a revolutionary and more of a selfish bastard trying to tend to his wounds from the past and decides that the world should pay.

Politically active ExFPs like Hitler, Guevara, or Castro and ExTJs can fall into type 8.
