Is...is Hajime really a 6? He's ISTJ for sure. I think comparing Hajime (ISTJ) to Naegi (xNFJ) provides a really nice comparison on the temporal orientation of a strong sensor versus a strong intuitive. Hajime isn't forward thinking at all. He's completely hung up on his present circumstance and ultimately just wants things to go back to the way they were. Naegi, on the other hand, lives and breathes in the future and the uncertain promise of the future.

But what is Hajime actually afraid of? It isn't of being without support or guidance, although he does rely on Chiaki and Komaeda for support more than Naegi relied on Kirigiri or Byakuya. But that's not his core fear. Hajime is afraid he isn't special. This fear follows him throughout the entire game. The entire Danganronpa series is predicated on Hajime's erroneous assumption that being special = having worth. If Hajime wasn't consumed by this fear, Danganronpa would never have happened. Ultimate Despair would never have been born. For Hajime, rejecting despair means rejecting the belief that there is something wrong with being ordinary, and to appreciate his many good qualities as someone who is, well, average.

This seems like the growth of a type 4 over a type 6.
