ISTJ, 6w5, sp/so. Ostensibly one of the most careful, practical personalities in existence. I had a phone for almost four years. Dropped it maybe once or twice.

Then I got a new phone with military-grade casing and screen protection, designed to be dropped on hot sand and rocks in Kabul, Afghanistan or God knows where. Good thing too, because it has no rubber grips like the old phone case did. Dropped it at least a dozen times in the last six months.

I think it may have something to do with low Si... And it fits my sister perfectly (an ENFP). She's ruined several phones by droppong them to the toilet, puddles, and basically everything that has water. She's also that one that forgets her bag everywhere.

I'm an ENTP and I drop my phone constantly, so you're not wrong. I have an OtterBox though, so I haven't ruined any phones. :)

N/S affects how much you pay attention to the world around you.

That's just carelessness. If you care more about how much things cost, you'll be less likely to destroy or mess them up.

Well, I imagine N/S affects how much you think about your possessions too. Anyways, I'm not attempting to use my MBTI type to justify my carelessness to you. Feel free to judge.

This is why you don't buy expensive phones. They break easier.
