    PersonaNonGrata

In a scene in season 3 he talks to Hank, who just got injured. He tells him he lived in fear all his life, every day, lying awake at night. That fear got lifted by his diagnosis. I would call this a counterphobic turn ;) so I guess six is perfect.

What Walter White really wants to be remembered for is his legacy. He's constantly thinking about how other people (mostly his kids) will think of him after he's dead... very future-oriented. Every choice he makes in the show is directly influenced by this internal desire he has to be remembered after death for being "the man who knocked" and not the coward with the tail between his legs who begged for cancer money. Of course that narcissistic need only served to make him a monster in the eyes of his children. He's also highly manipulative, in the literal sense and the psychological sense of the word -- the way he strung Jesse along with all the bullshit lies and made up stories,  by pretending to be a victim to force Jesse to do something immoral for him, or by purposefully leading Hank astray in his investigation without giving his involvement away. I can only see a Ni-dominant type being able to pull off that caliber of manipulation for that length of time. See Hannibal Lecter for another example of that kind of extreme manipulation.

I agree with the INTJ 6w5 votes, at least initially in the show. He doesn't strike me as an ISTJ at all; you don't have to be Si dominant to be ''loyal'' or prioritize those you love most (in Walt's case, his family). Heck, he even strays from that line of thinking as the show progresses. He becomes obsessed with producing meth and later running his own empire to the point of losing sight of his family. Unhealthily taking pride of one's own masterful schemes and accomplishments is something that could befall a Ni-user, particularly an INTJ. I'd say he gradually becomes more of an 8w9 throughout the show - determined and willful, yet carefully ahead of any opponent he faces.

      Apocalypse

It's not that he becomes an 8, it's because he desintegrates into 3 (even if it also shows some positive aspects of it paradoxically)

walter white shown more Si traits than Ni traits: he is detail oriented, cautious, family oriented  not really metaphorical or future oriented unlike gus who had a clear Ni vision . he show a lot of of inferior Ne paranoia on the serie but maybe it's just because he is a 6

WW is full of metaphores, his ultimate goal is to be in the "empire business". Totally abstract thing. Gus had a vision where he orchestrated his revenge and more globally how to manage his business, WW had a vision of himself being the boss of an empire, and he's working toward it from season 3.

He's not family oriented, he's just convincing himself that he's doing what he does for his family until the last season where he totally accept the fact that he's doing all of it for himself.

Detail-oriented yes and no, yes when he cooks, but no when he's making a move, he neglects the details and always go for the big picture. And cause of that in the last season, Mike always bring him back into reason and warns WW to be more careful

True he's cautious and paranoid but not in the last season where he feels himself completely powerful and not afraid of anything (which turns out to be overconfidence), which shows to me more 6w5 cp than Ne paranoia.

empire buisness is not abstract at all it's very concrete. Walter White find his goal steb by step wich is more  often the case for Si-Ne axis than Ni-Se axis. when he makes moov he is also cautious he is carefull on all detail who can bring back to him

INTJ 6w5 sp/sx. Goes from phobic (first few scenes of the first episode) to counterphobic after the cancer diagnosis (response to fear).

The 8w9 votes here are beyond silly. His 5 and 6 motivations led him into behavior more stereotypical of 8's.
